Moving forward better: City Government to begin road concreting projects for 2020

KIDAPAWAN CITY – CITY Mayor Joseph Evangelista’s request to the Sangguniang Panlungsod for approval of a Supplemental Budget to address priority needs of the City has been approved.

Sangguniang Panlungsod, on January 21, 2020 thru a Special Session, passed a Resolution approving Supplemental Budget Number 1, CY 2020, to authorize the use of funds for the said projects, among others.

“ This is part of the City Government’s ongoing efforts to bring back normalcy to the lives of all Kidapaweños. Let us work together to build a better Kidapawan, let us move forward together. We thank the City Development Council and the Sangguniang Panlungsod for sharing our collective intent to rise up together”, then Mayor said.

Priority infrastructure projects particularly the Road Concreting of the Circumferential Road/ Ninoy Aquino Extension(Junction Kidapawan-Calunasan M’lang Road) and Purok 7 Barangay Sudapin highlight the items included in the Supplemental Budget.

Under the Supplemental Budget, Php 30,200,000 will be allocated for the road concreting project of the Circumferential Road/Ninoy Aquino Extension (Junction Kidapawan – Calunasan M’lang Road-Purslane Section.)

Meanwhile, Php 1,800,000 will be used to fund the road concreting project for Purok 7 in Barangay Sudapin in front of the University of Southern Mindanao Kidapawan City campus.
Said projects were approved under City Development Council Resolution Number 2, series of 2020 that will be funded out of the 20% Economic Development Fund.

Certain amounts under the Supplemental Budget were reprogrammed due to the damages brought by the October 2019 earthquakes in the city.##(CIO/lkoasay)
