258 baboy at sako-sakong feeds ipinamahagi ng City Government of Kidapawan para sa mga Barangay Animal Healthcare Workers na matinding naapektuhan ng Covid-19

KIDAPAWAN CITY (March 31, 2021) – Upang matulungang makabawi ang mga Barangay Animal Healthcare Workers mula sa negatibong epekto ng Covid-19 pandemic, namahagi sa kanila ang City Government of Kidapawan ng abot sa 258 na alagang baboy at feeds sa pamamagitan ng City Veterinarian Office.  

Ito ay sa ilalim ng Food Security and Economic Resiliency Plan in Relation to Covid-19 Program ng City Government na naglalayong palakasin ang produksyon ng karne at gulay sa  lungsod, ayon kay City Veterinarian Dr. Eugene Gornez.

Kaugnay nito, ginanap sa Vegetable Trading Post sa Barangay Magsaysay, Kidapawan City kaninang alas-nuebe ng umaga ang distribution para sa unang batch ng recipients na abot sa 46 ang bilang at nagmula sa mga Barangay ng Indangan, Gayola, San Isidro, at Sto Nino, Dr. Gornez.

Bawat isa sa kanila ay tumanggap ng tig-siyam na baboy para sa pagsisimula ng maliit na kabuhayan o pagkakakitaan.

Maliban dito ay tumanggap din ang mga BAHW ng 286 sako ng starter feeds, 700 sako ng grower feeds, at 512 sako ng finisher feeds upang hindi na problemahin pa ng mga benepisyaryo ang pagkain ng mga baboy.

Mula sa 20% Development Fund ng City Government of Kidapawan ang pinambili ng mga alagang baboy at feeds.

Lumagda naman sa Memorandum of Agreement o MOA ang naturang mga BAHW kung saan naman nakapaloob ang mga alituntunin ng programa.

Kabilang dito ang wastong pag-alaga ng mga baboy upang mapakinabangan ng husto at ang pasumite nila ng mga pangalan ng iba pang front liners mula sa kanilang barangay na babahaginan nila ng tinanggap na mga baboy upang mas marami ang matulungan ng programa.

Sinaksihan ni Kidapawan City Mayor Joseph A. Evangelista ang distribution kung saan pinasalamatan niya ang mga BAHW sa patuloy na pakikiisa at suporta sa mga programang pang-agrikultura ng City Government.

Sinabi ni Mayor Evangelista na ngayong 2021 ay pinaglaanan ng City Government ng pondong abot sa P76M ang agriculture sector sa layuning mapalakas pa ang food sufficiency at stability.

Laan ito sa mga programang angkop sa pangangailangan ng mga magsasaka at tumutulong sa produksyon ng gulay, prutas, at livestock, dagdag pa ng alkalde.

Pinasalamatan naman ni BAHW Federation President Conrado Tabanyag si Mayor Evangelista sa patuloy nitong pagsuporta sa kanilang hanay at nangakong gagawin ang lahat upangh mapalago ang natanggap na biyaya.

Samantala, sa naturang pagkakataon ay nagbigay din ng maikling orientation ang Dept of Agriculture  -Special Area for Agriculture Development o DA-SAAD Goat Project Coordinator for Cotabato Province na si Charie Lyn Quinlat at pagkatapos ay namahagi ng abot sa 27 kambing para sa mga BAHW beneficiaries.

KIDAPAWAN CITY – MAGLILINGKOD na bilang bagong City Treasurer ng lungsod simula araw,  March 29, 2021 si Ranulfo Japson, Administrative Officer V ng City Treasurer’s Office (CTO) bilang kapalit ng nagretiro nang si City Treasurer Elsa Palmones.

Ginawa ngayong araw ang simpleng turn-over ceremony sa naturang tanggapan kung saan ay ipinasa na ni Palmones ang lahat ng mga  responsibilidad tulad ng  mga cash and account books, accountable forms, properties and office equipment kay Japson hudyat ng pag-upo nito bilang pinuno ng opisina.

Sinaksihan naman ng mga kagawad Department of Finance Bureau of Local Government Finance Regional Office XII ang pagpapalit posisyon ng nabanggit na mga opisyal ng City Government.

Isang taon o mula March 28, 2021 hanggang March 27, 2022 manunungkulan bilang Acting City Treasurer  si Japson.

Pinasalamatan naman ni City Mayor Joseph Evangelista si Palmones sa mga magandang nagawa nito bilang Ingat Yaman ng Pamahalaang Local.

Katunayan ay nahigitan pa ng opisyal ang target nito sa usapin ng tax collection lalo na at naging hamon para sa Kidapawan City ang 2019 Earthquake at ang patuloy na pananalasa ng Covid19 pandemic.

KIDAPAWAN CITY, March 27, 2021 – Officials of three national government agencies led the ceremonial turn-over of some 50 new housing units in Sitio Lapan, Barangay Perez, Kidapawan City on Friday, March 26, 2021.

These are the Office of the Civil Defense (OCD), National Housing Authority (NHA), and the Department of Human Settlement and Urban Development (DHSUD) which have worked alongside the City Government of Kidapawan to provide houses to hundreds of families partially and heavily affected by the earthquakes last October 2019.

Each housing unit costs P280,000 with water connection already and in no time, solar connection. The housing project is being funded by the national government agencies. The City Government of Kidapawan for its part was responsible for the land acquisition and site development.

Engr. Erasme G. Madlos, NHA 12 Regional Manager; and Jennifer C. Bretana, DHSUD Regional Manager graced the activity and gave respective messages to the homeowners, 85% of which belong to the Indigenous Peoples.

The two housing officials, along with Kidapawan City Councilor Engr. Peter Salac Co-Chairman of the Sangguniang Panlungsod ng Kidapawan City Committee on Public Works and Infrastructure and represented Kidapawan City Mayor Joseph A. Evangelista to the turn-over, Mandatory IP Representative and LAMADC Chairman Datu Radin O. Igwas, Deputy Mayor for IP affairs Datu Camilo Icdang and other heads of offices joined in the cutting of ribbon and witnessed the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the beneficiaries, the corresponding agencies and the City Government of Kidapawan.

“This is the fruit or result of the efforts of the City Government of Kidapawan to help those families who have no more homes and who cannot dwell back in their places because of the earthquakes. You now have a decent house to start anew”, said Engr. Madlos.

For her part, Bretana said the City Government of Kidapawan so far is the only LGU and by far has the greatest number of houses built for earthquake victims. “I would like to congratulate each family here and at the same time thank the City Government led by Mayor Evangelista for his untiring support and commitment to help to the earthquake victims and alleviate their sufferings”, said Bretana.

In July 2020, a total of 357 housing units were turned over to earthquake victims in Barangay Ilomavis and just last February8, 2021 some 108 new houses were also turned over in Barangay Indangan, Kidapawan City, all funded by the OCD in coordination with the NHA, DHSUD and the City Government of Kidapawan. 

Meanwhile, housing officials disclosed that the 50 houses turned-over in Sitio Lapan today is just the first batch of the project in the area. The second batch of new houses will be built anytime soon to accommodate the other earthquake victims that are now still temporarily residing in evacuation centers. (CIO-AJPME/JSCJ)

KIDAPAWAN CITY (March 27, 2021) Tuluy-tuloy lang at naging maayos ang vaccination roll out ng Covid-19 vaccine para sa mga front liners sa Kidapawan City.

Ayon kay Kidapawan City Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit o CESU Operations Chief Dr. Nerissa Paalan, nasa 1,838 front liners na ang nabakunahan ng Covid-19 vaccine mula ng umpisahan ito noong March 8, 2021 hanggang ngayong linggong ito gamit ang Sinovac at sinundan ng AstraZeneca.

Nakapaloob sa bilang na ito ang mga front liners mula sa iba’t-ibang pagamutan sa Kidapawan City at ilang mga miyembro ng Barangay Health Emergency Response Team o BHERT  na sinimulan ng turukan tulad ng mga Barangay Health Workers o BHW,  Barangay Nutrition Scholars o BNS at maging mga Barangay Chairpersons at mga Barangay Kagawad na humahawak ng Health Committee, ayon pa kay  Dr. Paalan.

Maliban naman sa Notre Dame of Kidapawan College o NDKC IBED at school gym ay ginagamit na rin bilang mga vaccination site ang St. Mary’s Academy of Kidapawan o SMAK at Kidapawan Doctors College, Inc.o KDCI.

Pinasalamatan naman ni Kidapawan City Mayor Joseph A. Evangelista ang mga front liners sa pagtanggap sa bakuna maging ito man ay Sinovac o AstraZeneca. Sinabi ni Mayor Evangelista na  pinalalakas nito ang kumpiyansa ng mamamayan at bakuna lamang din ang tanging paraan upang tuluyan ng mapigilan ang pagkalat ng Covid-19 disease.

Maliban naman sa mga mild discomforts ay wala namang naitalang

adverse reactions o di kanais-nais na pangyayari sa mga nabakunahang frontliners.

Sa ngayon ay tuluy-tuloy na pinalalakas ng CESU ang kahandaan nito sa pagbabakuna  at patuloy din ang paala-ala sa publiko na panatilihin ang pagsunod sa minimum health protocols kahit pa may bakuna na upang lubusang  makaiwas sa sakit. (CIO-AJPME-jscj)

KIDAPAWAN CITY – INAPRUBAHAN na ng Sangguniang Panlungsod ang pagpapasa ng Supplemental Budget number 2 na hiniling ni City Mayor Joseph Evangelista.

Naipasa ang nabanggit sa pamamagitan ng Special Session nitong March 24, 2021.

Iilan sa mga sakop ng SB number 2 ay ang dagdag na sahod para sa mga job order workers ng City LGU at ang dagdag pondo para sa Covid-19 response.

Pinasalamatan ni Mayor Evangelista ang mga kasapi ng konseho sa pagpapasa ng Supplemental Budget dahil mas mapapalakas pa nito ang epektibong Covid response ng lungsod.

Matatandaang umabot sa sobra siyamnapung aktibong kaso ang naitala noong nakaraang dalawang buwan, subalit dahil na rin sa pagtutulungan ng health workers, medical frontliners at City Government personnel ay naibaba na lang sa anim ang aktibong kaso ng Covid-19 ang sa Kidapawan City.##(CIO)

(Kidapawan City, March 24, 2021) – Two Mitsubishi hauling trucks drop side and one brand new Mitsubishi hauling wing close van from the Department of Agriculture – Philippine Rural Development Project (DA-PRDP) are now being used by members of the Mua-an farmers Multipurpose Cooperative (MFMC) in Kidapawan City to strengthen enhancement consolidation and marketing of fresh lakatan bananas in the National Capital Region (NCR).

Kidapawan City Agriculturist Marissa T. Aton informed that banana growers and members of MFMC will now have more opportunity to bring larger volumes of bananas as the new hauling trucks will hasten transport from farm to the market and will deploy the hauling close van in Metro Manila to accommodate more buyers in the area.

“This is to improve our banana growers in terms of mobility, volume of delivery, and eventually the income as they make use of the projects given by the agriculture department”, said Aton adding that the City Agriculturist Office continue to partner with the DA for other notable assistances to farmers in Kidapawan City. 

“This forms part of the different programs and projects mandated by Kidapawan City Mayor Joseph A. Evangelista to help our farmers and cooperatives recover from the adverse effects of the Covid-19 pandemic”, Aton also said.

The Mua-an FMC, before the arrival of the new vehicles from DA-PRDP does not have any hauling truck and only use personal vehicles to carry or transport their products and therefore needs to acquire larger units.

The vehicles come with package that includes trading capital for P900,000 and plastic crates worth P100,000 or a total of P9,120,600.00 project cost with a counterpart scheme of 60% (World Bank), 20% (DA), and 20% for the City Government as the implementing agency which is P1,464,120.

The DA-PRDP handed over the Certificate of Ownership to Mua-an FMC in a simple turn-over ceremony held at Barangay Manongol yesterday, March 24, 2021.

Kidapawan City Legal Officer Atty. Jose Paolo M. Evangelista representative of Mayor Evangelista witnessed the turn-over and congratulated the banana growers for having the new vehicles which made them more equipped in terms of transporting their products.

“While it is true that the banana growers are among those affected by the Covid-19 pandemic and other calamities, things now continue to get better for them”, said Atty. Evangelista. “The City Government would like to see Mua-an FMC to reach its full potential as a cooperative through the strong partnership with the Office of the City Agriculturist”, he added. 

The City Government also continues to link with the DA-PRDP so as to let the local farmers avail of the projects of the agency and to improve their living conditions especially in the present situation of Covid19 pandemic. (AJPME/jscj)

A total of 142 hog raisers from four villages in Kidapawan City whose piggeries were adversely affected by African Swine Fever (ASF) have received indemnification in the form of cash assistance from the Department of Agriculture (DA). The indemnification took place at the Kidapawan City Pilot Elementary School (KCPES) led by representatives from the DA 12 today, March 24, 2021. The recipients are from Barangay Linangkob (54), Barangay Sikitan (42), Barangay Gayola (24,) and Barangay Mua-an (22) totalling to 142 hog raisers. They received a total of P3,585,000 cash assistance from the DA as part of the program to help the hog raisers cope up with their losses brought about by ASF. The recipients have undergone assessment and validation by the City Veterinarian Office and other related procedure and submitted the data to the Department of Agriculture 12 for approval and release of the indemnification, according to City Veterinarian Dr. Eugene Gornez. In previous months the City Vet with the help of the Provincial Veterinarian Office performed the repopulation of hundreds of pigs in barangays affected by ASF which was a big setback to the hog raisers and farmers. Kirby Joi Sedilla-Garcia, Livestock Focal Person, Operation Division, DA 12 said the indemnification of affected hog raisers particularly the small ones is the agency’s response to alleviate their conditions by providing the amount of P5,000 for every pig culled. Meanwhile, the City Veterinarian Office said the last reported case of ASF was on December 4, 2020. The hogs in infected villages are being swabbed first before conducting repopulation, according to Veterinarian II Dr. Elaine Mahusay. She said that a test called bioassay for hogs using ASF Nanogold Biosensor Test is used to determine if the animal is infected with ASF, At present the City Veterinarian Office continue to monitor the existing piggeries in the city and is doing coordinated response with the DA to provide hog raisers with various forms of assistance. Php 3,585,000 ang kinatibuk-ang kantidad ang gihatag sa DA XII ngadto sa 144 ka mga naga-amuma og baboy nga naapektuhan sa ASF sa upat ka mga barangay ning dakbayan.

Suma pa sa pamunuan sa DA XII, ang ayuda gikan sa ASF Indemnification Program sa gobyerno.

Matag benepisyaryo nakadawat og Php 5,000 kada ulo sa baboy nga gipailaom sa ‘culling’ aron mapugngan ang pagkatag sa ASF.

Ang kadaghanon sa mga apektadong hog raisers nakadawat sa hinabang mao ang mosunod: 54 gikan sa Barangay Linangkob, 42 Sikitan, 24 Gayola ug laing 24 sa Mua-an.

Gihatag sa mga opisyales sa DA XII, City Legal Officer Atty. Pao Evangelista nga nirepresenta kang City Mayor Joseph Evangelista, Cotabato 2nd District Board Member Dr. Krista Piñol – Solis, Cotabato Provincial Veterinarian Office ug Kidapawan Office of the City Veterinarian ang nasampit nga ayudang pinansyal sa mga ASF affected hog raisers ning dakbayan.

KIDAPAWAN CITY – IBINIGAY Na ng Philippine Rural Development Project o PRDP ng Department of Agriculture ang tatlong bagong hauling truck at isang closed van na magagamit ng mga banana growers.

Ginawa ang turn-over ceremony nitong March 24, 2021 sa Barangay Manongol ng lungsod.

Malaking tulong ang mga bagong sasakyan na maibyahe at maibenta ang produktong saging mula sa lungsod patungo sa malalaking pamilihan sa Kamaynilaan at iba pang lugar sa bansa, ayon pa sa mga recipient farmers na makikinabang sa tulong ng DA-PRDP.

Ang mga bagong truck at closed van ay bahagi ng Enhancement Consolidation and Marketing of Fresh Lakatan Banana na programa ng DA-PRDP.

Proponent ng proyekto ang Mua-an Farmers MPC at ang City Government.

Mga nagtatanim ng saging mula sa lungsod at taga ibang lugar ang mga miyembrong bumubuo ng kooperatiba na partner ng City Government sa programang pang-agrikultura.

Maliban sa mga nabanggit ay namigay din ang DA-PRDP ng Php 900,00 na trading capital at Php100,000 na halaga ng mga plastic crates sa mga banana growers.

Nagkakahalaga ng Php 9,120,600 Million ang nabanggit na mga truck ug closed van, ayon pa sa City Agriculture Office. 

Php 5,856,480 ang halaga ng pondo  mula sa DA, samantalang Php 1,464,120 naman ang counterpart ng City Government.

Php 1,800,00 na equity ang kontribusyon ng  kooperatiba sa pagbili ng naturang mga sasakyan ng saging.##(CIO)

KIDAPAWAN CITY – 510 NA MGA INDIGENT beneficiaries mula sa iba’t-ibang barangay ng lungsod ang nakatanggap na ng kanilang sahod sa ilalim ng Cash for Work Program ng DSWD at City Government.

Tumanggap ng tig Php 2,330 na sweldo sa loob ng sampung araw na pagta-trabaho at pagtulong sa mga Risk Resiliency Program for Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation related activities ng kanilang mga barangay ang nabanggit na bilang ng mga indigent beneficiaries.

Pinangunahan ni City Mayor Joseph Evangelista at ng mga kawani ng DSWD Regional Office XII ang aktibidad umaga ng March 24, 2021 sa Mega Tent ng City Hall.

Sa kanyang mensahe sa mga beneficiaries, sinabi ni Mayor Evangelista na makakatulong ang kanilang natanggap na pantawid sa pangangailangan ng kanilang mga pamilya lalo na sa panahon ng Covid19 pandemic.

Hinimok ng alkalde ang mga beneficiaries na gamitin ng wasto ang kanilang natanggap na tulong pinansyal lalo na para sa kanilang mga anak.

Tiniyak din ni Mayor Evangelista na bibigyang prayoridad ang mga mahihirap na mamamayan na makakatanggap ng bakuna kontra Covid19 kapag nakabili na nito ang City Government.

Basehan ng pagbibigay ng Cash for Work Program ang Administrative Order number 15 s. 2008 ng DSWD kaagapay ang National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council.

Layun ng programa na magbigay ng temporary employment sa mga nawalan ng trabaho o mahihirap na mamamayan bilang dagdag na pagtugon sa climate change at disaster risk reduction, mitigation at recovery programs.

Ilan lamang nito ang pagsasa-ayos ng mga evacuation centers, drainage canals at flood control facilities, clean up drive, kampanya kontra dengue at Covid19, at tree planting at mga disaster risk reduction and preparedness related activities.

Hinati sa dalawang batches ang kabuo-ang bilang ng mga beneficiaries na mabibigyan ng ayudang pinansyal ng DSWD.

Sila yaong mga na-validate ng ahensya sa tulong ng mga barangay officials na nangangailangan ng ayuda mula sa Pamahalaan. ##(CIO)
