City Government extends business permits and licenses renewal for 2020

KIDAPAWAN CITY – The City Government here started renewing all business permits and licenses for Fiscal year 2020.
For this year, all business permits and licenses renewal are extended until March 31, 2020.
The extension is based on City Ordinance number 19-1296 that was approved by City Mayor Joseph Evangelista on December 5, 2019.
The City Government is giving consideration to business owners who were affected by the October 2019 series of earthquakes, thus the extension.
“This is our way of helping our business owners and operators recover from the losses they incurred due to the earthquakes.”, Mayor Evangelista said.
Aside from the extension, penalties were also condoned as added privilege to business owners, as stipulated in City Ordinance 19-1296.
For Fiscal Year 2020, the City Government reduced the real property taxes fee by 20% as an additional benefit to all taxpayers in the city.
This covers all lands, buildings and machineries inside Kidapawan City under City Ordinance number 12-1297 that was passed by the Sangguniang Panlungsod and approved by the Mayor on December 9, 2019.
However, taxpayers must settle first their accrued obligations as of 2019 with the City Government in order to avail the 20% reduction on real property taxes.
Real Property taxes paid in advance will be credited in favor of taxpayers that will be deducted from payments made for Fiscal year 2021 to the City Government.
All transactions are done inside the City Gymnasium. ##(cio/lkoasay)
